OUR MISSION: To advance the understanding of cognition, cultural evolution, behavior, and welfare in humans and other animals.
About EVOMINDs
We are a multidisciplinary team of psychologists and biologists.
Our Approach
We use an interdisciplinary and multimethodological approach, that integrates experimental studies and behavioural observations.
Overarching Aims:
- examine the evolution of cognitive abilities and behavioural variation across species;
- develop novel, ecologically-valid methods to investigate variation in cognition, welfare and behaviour across species;
- explore how cognition and behaviour change across the lifespan.
Our Value:
- Integrations of multiple approaches (psychological experiments and behavioural observations) to study cognition and behaviour
- Excellent training opportunities for UG and PG students, including practical work in a variety of settings
